I had two sessions of hand stitching last night. I'm approaching the 4th corner now and part of the next side (a short side) is already stitched. One more night should do it. I'm done with PT until the last Friday of the month so I will have more time at home in the studio for a while.
This is what I worked on between those 2 sessions, 16 more double 4 patch blocks.
There are two blocks alike of each of these, 4 in each combination of fabrics.
And two of each of each block in these combinations too.
It got up to 39 yesterday and should be a few degrees warmer today.
I think I'll search for backings for a couple quilts today and cut some batting. Then I can use that table for basting a baby quilt.

Nice progress on the binding for Rosy, Wanda;)). I do like your newly cut dbl 4-patch blocks...pretty greens...
ReplyDelete20 here yay-- dbl digits--Hoping for some melting this week...still have piles and piles of snow about...
I am on a necessary rest break--so some light household chores are in store for today....hugs, Julierose
Almost another finish! When you finish a quilt do you put a label on it then?
ReplyDeleteThe striped binding sure does look good! I enjoy hand stitching binding and wish I had some to sew while staying at our cabin since I’ve been watching so much of the Olympics, lol.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it is a good thing to be done with PT for a week or two. As for melting, we are down to only the deepest drifts in the shade (which interestingly are still icy and slick). And taller mounds of plowed snow of course.
ReplyDeletethose are all nice colors I really like that backing fabric. I hope the PT has helped a little and that the treatment coming up will do wonders.
ReplyDelete39 Degrees? That's a veritable heat wave for your area! Are you watching the Olympics while you hand stitch?
ReplyDeleteRight now we're glad the weather is warming. I wish it would stay in the range all year. How nice your binding and PT are going well. The double 4 patches look lovely. I've been using plain 4-patches are leader/enders for a couple of years. Now to decide what to do with them. Thanks for the reminder.
