I mixed the new prints in with some others that were already cut, for 5 more sets to make 3 pinwheel blocks each. I think I'll save this sewing for after I get the new pacemaker on Thursday. I'm thinking they might like me to relax for a day or two after that.
I did some research: a/k/a looking through Kaffe books and petting fabric for a couple hours.
I also made time to go through my closet and pull 10 items to take to the local thrift shop. I also had some books for them. While I'm there it's always fun to look through everything that others have donated.
aahh perusing kaffe's books...a slippery slope indeed
ReplyDeletePretty blues you unearthed there;))) Once i start looking through books I get lost usually;)))
ReplyDelete61 here and clouded over...may actually get some rain--that would be helpful as we are very dry...

Do let us know how your pacemaker replacement goes. My husband has a pacemaker/defibrillator due for replacement in the next couple years, and he gets worried that it will run out of "juice". His cardiologist and pacemaker doctor both assure him they will replace it before that happens!
ReplyDeleteYour blues are just beautiful. I am always amazed at how you can name the makers of your fabric. Even when I write it down on sticky notes, I forget.
More lovely BLUES…. I finally took some time to see a quilters die cutter. Is yours manual or electric ? I can see how they certainly have changed the quilters world for more fun.
ReplyDeleteI hope the replacement goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteWhat glorious blues so this will, of course, become a glorious quilt in due time!
ReplyDeleteWishing you well on Thursday! Pacemakers are wonderful things that enable folks to keep on keeping on.
Hugs!
I do a fair amount of that kind of research, too! LOL
ReplyDeleteGood idea to save yourself something relaxing for a couple of days after the pacemaker change Wanda, take it easy.
