Garden yield and destash details.....................

This is my Saturday and Sunday pickings from my garden.  The tomato on the left has a scar on one side but I think I can salvage the rest of it.  I ate 4 of the little Sun Gold tomatoes before I grabbed my camera.

I thought I would get a second binding sewn on a quilt yesterday but I spent the whole day doing photography and writing my destash post for the Wandaful Quilts blog.  I didn't get a lot of fabric pulled but there is a bunch of miscellaneous items that I'm hoping I can find a home for.  This is an orange week.

  1. Yum--fresh tomatoes;))) they really look so good...
70 here and foggy this morning again--yesterday wasn't too too bad as the DP didn't get as high as it had been.
De-stashing by color is the way to go for sure; I am doing some of my own, too...so far blues have been gone through...hugs, Julierose

  2. cannot beat fresh tomatoes whatever the size...ardco templates? that dates you for sure...did you know tony or meet him? i did...he was such a hoot, great presenter and promoter, lots of fun...after hours at a quilt seminar he sat in with the girls chatting and showing off his contest quilt blocks...a real salesman and quilt enthusiast

  3. I'm envious of your tomato crop. Mine mostly failed, but Julia shared a couple with me that she got from a co-worker.

  4. I have enough tomatoes for making sauce today and for a salad or two - I hate the thought of walking down to the garden though in the heat to check for more - one needs to do that before 9 AM now for sure I will be thankfully for a cold front which they say maybe arrives on Wednesday for 5 days in the 80's? well be nice to sit outside and enjoy the porch again if that happens

  5. Wandaful Quilt Blog is AMAZING array from your July ‘de-stash’. I can see the work you have put into it plus the photography of it all. It was a treat for me to see it ~ As you know how much quilting I do… but so enjoy seeing all you create and your “de-stash” alone has been quite a feat with the beautiful pieces of fabric plus accessories. It is a quilters heaven with bargains galore.

Great pick of tomatoes for sure. 😋

  6. Wish I could still eat tomatoes, but must skin and seed them and that makes a mess. Your tomatoes look delicious as homegrown tomatoes are.

You certainly have some scrumptious oranges on your destash site!

    Hugs!
