I watered plants, pulled some weeds, filled bird feeders, did a load of laundry, and cut some more triangles for the next 16 pinwheels for the current quilt project. I think I will go through my Australian fabric scraps and cut some triangles from them too.
There is rain predicted for today but they have changed it from 1.5" predicted about 5 days ago to now maybe .25" or if we are lucky, .5". The grass is brown and crunchy.
We woke up to sprinkles and much cooler temp today!
ReplyDeleteNice pairings… and I know you can visualize where they belong in Font Hill. Die cut or not thats a lot of cutting.
ReplyDeleteAn Illinois drought is so unusual, especially in the late spring . Hoping you get a nice shower soon.

Ah, the many steps necessary to making a quilt, pairing is certainly an important one. Love these in the picture!
ReplyDeleteAfter having 5" of rain in April, we've been teased about rain more than getting rain. Can you believe my smart phone tells me we have a 1% chance of rain today? I mean, get real please!!!
Hugs!
I like how these fabrics went together so well. I did some prepping for next week's sew-a-thon to TRY to finish those charms--I am scared to open anymore boxes and find even MORE--what was I thinking???? Or not....
ReplyDeleteMy little mini rose has bloomed for the first time for me--thrilling!! It is tucked in in front of our fence and gets a lot of reflected heat and sun there--which I guess it likes..;)))
73 degrees here, a bit humid, cloudy skies but all in all a lovely Sunday
to sit on our deck and read. Hugs, Julierose
It’s finally raining here! First time in at least a month!
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to rain here today, but it keeps looking less likely. I planted some more annuals, which have been waiting patiently for weeks, thinking it would rain. Just went out and watered them all. Good thing you like triangles.

even though we had a half inch over two days I'm afraid our soil soaked it up and it was dry as could be when I was cutting grass today - the riding lawn mower was blowing dust and dirt on me every time I turned a corner.
ReplyDeleteMmm. I like those green fabrics! -Roxanne
ReplyDeleteWe actually had a couple of thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and evening that provided more rain than we've had in weeks. It was glorious and things are so fresh and green this morning (it won't last but it surely is wonderful right now).
