Binding was cut and sewn on yesterday. Last night I hand stitched one side.
I loaded the baby 16 patch quilt on the longarm and quilted it yesterday afternoon.
I chose loops for the quilting on this one. Pink So Fine 30wt on top and a pre-wound pink bobbin. The batting is Hobbs 80/20.
This vintage Kaffe Fassett fabric was chosen for the binding.
It looks good with both sides of the quilt.
I sewed the binding on and hand sewed a short distance so I could take a photo. I have plenty of hand sewing to do tonight and tomorrow night.
The polka dot binding looks great and that striped binding is very cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat binding choices! I love that baby 16 patch...;)))
ReplyDelete30 this morning with cloudy skies despite the bright sunrise!!
i think rain showers are forecast for this afternoon...
I like the bindings and backing for both quilts. Two finishes in one week! Kudos!
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy seeing and reading about your progress, especially your fabrics, selections that I’ve never seen before.

Beautiful finishing! The quilt is coming out gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWell done, you! Makes me wish I had room for a long-arm machine but I'd likely need more energy, too.
ReplyDeleteLove the bindings you've chosen and may have to choose a happy binding fabric for the baby quilt when I get to that point. Still have borders and machine quilting to go.
Both of these are just wonderful. I LOVE the binding you chose for the pastel baby quilt!
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage Kaffe binding, a real treasure! (I have a smidgen of that print in the teal)
ReplyDeletePerfection on the binding choices for both quilts! A bountiful stash is a joy forever. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I remember the vintage Kaffe, wish that was still in production! Goes beautifully with all the fabrics in the baby quilt, he has a similar pattern - Shiraz - in his new range, I have an order in for 3 colorways, not to mention the other fabrics!
