Stocking progress........

I decided to reposition the embroidery a little lower on the Christmas stocking so the design wouldn't be so close to a seam.  I still have to make the cuff and embroider the name on it.  I was tired last night and decided I should wait until morning to tackle that part of it.

The lining is a modern Christmas print by Alexander Henry, lots of cute animals.  I like the lining to be light so you can see down into the stocking.

Yesterday I paid all of the bills for the rest of the month, picked up a few groceries I forgot on Monday and delivered a Christmas gift to my sister-in-law.

Snow will start today and now they are down to 2-5" of light fluffy snow and high winds.  I'm happy their early predictions of 6-14" isn't happening here.  Now IN and MI is where the most will land and they always seem to get more than us.

The positioning of the embroidery is perfect! So far here we have had sunshine the last two days and the weather has been in the low 30's so not too bad. Right now the forecast here is to get rain tonight and tomorrow until 3 a.m. then it turns to snow and the temps drop to -5. Yikes! I need to top off the gas tank and run to the grocery at lunchtime for a few things. Tomorrow's drive to work ought to be interesting! I have no idea why the city spread salt last night when the rain is going to wash it away.

I am with you on the light linings so you can see what is inside! Our rain has started here - temps will fall from mid-40s to -1 over the afternoon into the evening then -17 overnight. Glad your snowfall is now to be much less than earlier forecasted!

the sock looks good to me! glad you will not get feet of snow - we will get an inch maybe from what they say but very cold for two days - the kind of cold Arkansas doesn't usually get

Thé stocking looks great, Wanda! I really like the lining being a light print. All the stockings I have ever made are knitted ones and they don’t have linings….if I ever make a non-knitted one I will remember to use a light print… thanks for the information!!
Glad your weather is not going to be as severe as you had expected!
I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!
