One quilt top sewn...........

I got this quilt top pressed and measured yesterday.  It is 56.5" x 72.5".  The colors are more true in the photo below.  The camera wanted them to look more gold here.

I thought I would finish the zig zag too but I have one more row to sew on to it.

I picked 3 more little tomatoes to finish ripening in the house.  I'm not planning on sharing with the squirrels.

  1. The top turned out lovely! Right now my big problem is chipmunks. I saw two more holes they have dug under the cora bell bed. I have some traps coming because the little buggers are getting out of hand.

  2. I picked a handful of cherry tomatoes and one large one last night as I wanted to get them before the harsh sun got them or the insects - or maybe it will be too hot even for the insects and they would leave them alone! :)
I don't know why that first quilt you show is much larger than I thought it was I was thinking it was about the same size as the one I have on the wall right now.

  4. I picked our first baby zucchini this morning along with a handful of cherry tomatoes that are ripe and ready to eat on our salads later today. So far the squirrels haven't bothered the tomatoes (that will happen later in the summer if this year is like most). Hooray for the yellow top being sewn together and I'm guessing the second one won't be far behind.

  5. Lovely yellows flimsy you've finished! And I see that Zig Zag is not far behind...nice works...
We are bothered by squirrels here--they are WAY too bold--yesterday I walked out onto the deck (which is high) and there he was sitting on my chair!!!!
Chittering at ME!!! Bold as brass!!;(((

Tom is going to try to find some kind of spray that hopefully will deter them until they forget about us!! Originally a bird feeder drew them up there so they could jump over to it --they finally broke it landing on it...grrrr!!
Anyhow--I am stomping my feet before I go out there just in case...;&(((

Hope this upcoming weekend will be a good one for you weatherwise. It's supposed to be sunny and nice here hugs, Julierose
