No sewing.............

I did get some pressing and cutting done yesterday but didn't turn on the sewing machine.  I also didn't do any planting.  We had a rainy morning, 1/2" of rain to help the new plants to get settled.  The ground should be softer to dig in now so I hope to plant the rest of the tomato plants today.

I saw that the pink Columbine is in bloom now and took this photo from the dining room window as the rain was tapering off.

A couple day ago I took this photo of the one branch on my Viburnum bush that has blooms.  In over 20 years this bush has only had blooms on one branch and I'm not sure if it is always the same branch.  Unfortunately this one is a low branch that hangs out into my yard and I was planning on cutting it off to make it easer to mow the grass.

  1. Funny only one branch blooms on your viburnum. I was convinced ours was totally dead after enduring the removal of two oaks that fell in a tornado last year, plus the replacement of the fence that was damaged, but it has come back more beautiful than ever.

  2. We are having a rainy day here...as soon as my iris comes out it seems
every year it rains and knocks it down!! Weird like your one blooming branch...

I didn't sew yesterday either--today I found a big rip on my bottom sheet before it was going to be washed...so I sewed it up on the machine--we'll see if it will hold...I don't ever recall that happening before!

  3. That is funny that only one branch blooms. It rained here yesterday too so another day goes by without the marigolds getting planted. Oh well, they are tough and can handle it!

  4. I wish we could get some rain to help our plants. The Columbine are always so pretty. It would be a shame to cut off the only blooming branch.

  5. We are yet to have our spring pants in bloom. My columbine has just begun to leaf out, hostas just beginning to peak through.. It’s been a unusual cold spring here. Seeing your blossoms gives me some hope.
