I sewed the 5 sixteen patch blocks (6") and three more sets of triangle squares for the Winged Square blocks, two of which are shown here.
Here is the third set which made it up onto the design wall.
I also worked on the border for the yellow crazy pieced top but nothing worth showing yet.
We got another 2-3" of snow early yesterday morning. It was light and fluffy and easy to shovel. Now we are going way down in the deep freeze for 2 nights so the snow won't be leaving any time soon.
I'm not surprised you are getting a deep freeze as starting today we are back to the 30's/20 for the rest of the week I think and when that normally happens you are colder than normal. I might get more sewing done this week because of it.
ReplyDeleteLots of snow yesterday, so it has piled up on the edges of drives and parking lots. Haven't seen this much accumulation in a couple of years. In the 20s mostly, colder later this week. The blocks are graphic and fun.
ReplyDeleteCold again here overnight but warming some in the afternoon (40s). The sunshine is wonderful. Your winged square blocks are tugging at me.
ReplyDeleteOur temps are warming up a bit for the next couple of days...
ReplyDeleteyou did a lot of sewing last evening--nice work--hugs, julierose
Lovely colour mix...... Good luck with the snow......
ReplyDeleteI love the crazy background fabrics for that yellow and green block! The zig zag and polka dots are so fun! The forecast here has improved for the next two nights. Instead of being in the negative degrees it is going to be 1 degree - still cold but better than -. Today it is sunny which is nice. Even though it is cold, there is still enough warmth to help the snow clear off my south facing driveway.
ReplyDeleteA Monday night marathon of stitching again……... Your fabrics are always a fun surprise.
