I really like this block with more green in it. I haven't put it up on the wall with the rest of the blocks yet.
This block doesn't have as much contrast as some of the others. I rotated the 2 one way prints instead of having them all facing the same direction.
Each block is its own little masterpiece and a little of that gets lost when they all go together in a quilt. For me the fabric is the star so I'm enjoying each block as I go.
We got another .65" of rain yesterday that started early in the wee hours of the morning. It was dry most of the day. It's going to get colder each night through the weekend but I don't think we have any danger of frost. They are talking high 30s one night.
looking forward to seeing all the blocks together, they are each so pretty with the fabric you use.
ReplyDeleteIt will be getting cooler here today as the day goes by after noon or so down in the 40's for the first time this fall possible - maybe I can get back to work on the planting this weekend and get done with the darn thing already - I have let it drag on too long. We too finally got some rain yesterday close to half an inch.
You do have an amazing collection of prints! Looks like we might get some rain this afternoon and tomorrow which will be welcomed. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI've had quilts like that where I adore each individual block - my fickle pickle blocks were one of those. Love how you are bringing in the blues and greens and brighter shades.
ReplyDeleteA little behind in reading but I am catching up. I too always like creating individual bits and then putting them together! Funny we have already had several nights in the upper 30's... and predictions for a light frost in the next 10 days.
