Finally, a border................

As you can see I finally decided on the Kaffe pink pencil print for the border of this all Kaffe Collective quilt top of Economy blocks.  In the end I decided the Frilly was too dark and overemphasized the dark fabrics in the blocks.  It is 66.5" x 80".

It was a real stretch for me to get it up vertically on the design walls.  I usually hang one this size sideways and then rotate my photo.

  2. Oh, it is just lovely. The border does justice to all the prints used without screaming for attention. The shark's teeth work so well in setting off the blocks and adding zest.

  4. The pink border really brightens the blocks, and the shark's teeth sashing is great! Lovely quilt.

  6. Perfect border choice, Wanda! Love the pink, and I love how the stripe of the print works in contrast with the black/white sashing. Beautiful!

  11. O.K. ~ Now I can see why you chose the pencil border and not the ‘Frilly’. It’s a ‘happy’ quilt, glowing with brilliance and fun both. Another of your creations that is amazing .

  12. That border is just lovely--I would never have thought, just looking at the fabric by itself that it would be so perfect for this piece. Just makes the whole piece sing...great work hugs, Julierose
P.S. Getting to reach up high on my design wall is a thing of the past for me--even before nasty Mr. Sciatica came to visit me!! :(((

  14. The pink pencil from Kaffe frames the economy blocks beautifully. How long ago was this design brought out? I have two pieces in a dark and a blue.

  18. I'm catching up on my two weeks without internet access. I love how this top turned out. That border is Wandaful! I'm glad you didn't have any house damage from the storm but it seems you got rid of that walnut branch at jsut the right time.
