It was 68 degrees yesterday...what a change from all of the high 80s and 90s and high humidity. I got one more section planted in the afternoon.
I did laundry in the morning and read blogs. That was my recovery time from Wednesday's marathon planting.
Here is a closer view of what I put in this section. These are all new plants that I bought on Wednesday.
I decided this was the best way to remember what all of the plants are.
I have the smallest section left to plant and have 4 plants for it. I'll get it done either today or tomorrow. It sounds like the rain is all going to miss us again.
When all of this is done I will tackle the path through my back garden with the remaining 16 pavers. It will be much cooler working back there in the shade.

I love the 1st photo showing the plants coming down the steps. Also I've noticed how dry your top soil is with the cracks showing. That dark soil (compost?) will do wonders for your new plants - I always use it when planting something new, but no new plants for me this year. I've not been out much so not seen any Petunia's or Geranium's. Hopefully next year I'll try harder haha :)
Our forecast for days warned of heavy rain on Thursday. We only got .3" of an inch, but a community 35 minutes NE of us got 4.4" in less than an hour. Cooler temps today, so I need to get out and spread some mulch. But I really want to sew instead.

looking perfect - taking it in sections like that is the easiest way to do it. I think the cooler weather is expected here on Sunday I will be over joyed to get it!
I love the way you have your pavers down…making up different smaller gardens…and a place to walk on. Brilliant. Once everything takes hold and starts growing…it will be so beautiful. I also love the variety of plants.
Your beds are looking good, bummer on the rain missing you again. That lime heurchera certainly glows brightly. I may need to keep an eye out for one similar.
Your gardens are growing just like one of your quilts with ‘Exuberant Color’. Fun for us to watch, and knowing the physical work you have put into it, you deserve a standing ovation !

I use a combination of photos and the planting tags stuck into a composition book with handwritten notes to keep track of what we planted and when. You are making GREAT progress!!
It looks beautiful. I know it’s a lot of work, but you’ll enjoy it so much when it’s finished.
Your house looks so nice with all your new landscaping. It's so nice that the weather cooled down so you could enjoy all that work!
It has been exciting watching the progress of this. It is looking so pretty. It will be nice to see it in the coming weeks as the plants grow and fill out the area.
