I did some odds and ends work outside yesterday. I noticed the Black Raspberries are getting big. They weren't ripe until the last week of June last year so I need to be patient.
I cut down a lot of the canes when my painting was being done so there won't be as many this year but they will be much easier to pick.
The lilacs are long gone but the Garden Heliotrope has a lilac scent and they are still blooming.
I got the last light triangles cut and sewn last night so I can continue on with the star quilt.
Your yard is just a bower of lovely flowering plants...nice planning to have things blooming one after the other during the season...
ReplyDeleteI planted my "baby" lilacs the other day..they were only one gallon sized and came (disappointingly!) in plastic baggies--not in little planters!!
Had to be very careful to not lose that precious soil around their roots when i planted them...Hope they take...
hugs, Julierose
