Designing done..............
I had to take the photo from an angle because my sewing cabinet blocked a full view from straight on. I finished all of the designing of this die cut half hexagon quilt top. I had more dark pieces than light ones so the left and right edge have more dark pieces in them. After I took this photo I sewed the pieces of 2 columns and sewed the columns together. I overlap each piece by 1" and pin them together in columns to go to the machine. It took over a half hour to sew that little bit and there are 16 columns so this will take awhile.
What a lovely rich-colored quilt--like a tapestry--beautiful work hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteReally stunning...love the combination of colors and the mix of prints. Reminds me of cobblestones in a garden walkway. Nice job, Wanda!
ReplyDeleteI have a half hex template from MSQC and this gives me an idea on how to use it. You have a good way to have the pieces make it to the machine in order! I recently bought some number pins and direction pins and am using those.
ReplyDeleteIt’ll be worth the time. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt this is going to make, Wanda!!
ReplyDeleteIt's one that I want to keep looking at! Lovely and so simple! Thanks for your faithfulness to post every day. You are always an encouragement. I just took a 104" x 118" off the longarm, trimmed the edges and made the binding... totally exhausted!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
