Designing done..............

I had to take the photo from an angle because my sewing cabinet blocked a full view from straight on.  I finished all of the designing of this die cut half hexagon quilt top.  I had more dark pieces than light ones so the left and right edge have more dark pieces in them.  After I took this photo I sewed  the pieces of 2 columns and sewed the columns together.  I overlap each piece by 1" and pin them together in columns to go to the machine.  It took over a half hour to sew that little bit and there are 16 columns so this will take awhile.

  2. Really stunning...love the combination of colors and the mix of prints. Reminds me of cobblestones in a garden walkway. Nice job, Wanda!

  3. I have a half hex template from MSQC and this gives me an idea on how to use it. You have a good way to have the pieces make it to the machine in order! I recently bought some number pins and direction pins and am using those.

  6. It's one that I want to keep looking at! Lovely and so simple! Thanks for your faithfulness to post every day. You are always an encouragement. I just took a 104" x 118" off the longarm, trimmed the edges and made the binding... totally exhausted!
