Both halves of the die cut half hexagon quilt are done but I didn't want to go down to the ironing table at 10:30 last night. I hope to get the 2 halves pressed, last seam sewn and pressed and points trimmed off the top and bottom today. I will look for a backing fabric right away but it won't get quilted right away.
I finished cutting one batch of Kaffe scraps in 3" and 4" sizes. I will keep all of the shapes in the same box to make it easier to find them all when I'm ready for a project.
The buds are getting larger on the early peonies. There are little Redbud petals all over everything. This is what I really want to be playing with but I have a list of other things I have to do first....maybe I can alter the list......
I can't wait to see what you have in mind for the Kaffe fabrics.

Absolutely alter the list and do what you really want to do!
ReplyDeleteHahaha--that's a great idea to alter the list--I never write lists but keep an oft-changing order in my mind--;))

I like the pops of that teal blue color in the hexie quilt top. It is amazing with even the cooler weather how things are growing. FYI - it's your list, you can change it if you want!
ReplyDeleteThat altered list is making me smile! Go for it. Love those hexes.
ReplyDeleteAlways a nice post Wanda... By now your pieces are pressed and stitched together. I'm sure you are happy with it.
ReplyDeleteI can't get over how your garden plants are so far ahead of ours. My Hostas have finally popped through the soil.

I've also been busy with half hexagons, cutting more lighter ones at your suggestion to add to the leftovers from Chain Link, can't wait to make a start! I also have new KF Collective fabrics I'm itching to play with but have too many projects on the go right now, if it's possible to have too many! I'm looking forward to the photos of the opened paeonies Wanda.
