The good news - the equipment arrived. The bad news - the fact that they expect an 80 year old person to self install. If I don't have a post tomorrow you will know I wasn't successful.
3:45 p.m. Good news! I got it hooked up. Now let's hope it continues working.
Sometimes you can a helpful person on the phone that will walk you through. I got someone from hp the other day after going through a million menus that was very helpful.
Good luck! I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm just happy I was able to figure out On Demand so that I could see the NCAA Women's Gymnastics regional competition over the weekend.
Ugh - I don't enjoy doing things like that either - give me a screwdriver and instructions and I can put things together. Not so techno stuff! But kudos to you - you did it!
You rock !!! Especially if it meant you had to crawl on the floor to get all of that mumbo jumbo hooked up like I would have had to do. (and I'm "only" 78) LOL
Good for you! I find that my biggest problem is getting over the fear of not trying because being afraid that I won't be able to get something to work. After I retire I plan on moving to the little village where my son lives and I then will have tech help right down the street! Such a cop out hun? LOL!!!
Glad you got it sorted - my daughter helps me if I get stuck. We have fibre optic broadband internet so very speedy. I have the 'unlimited' package. Hull is the only place in England that has it's own telephone exchange, so they heavily invested into Fibre Optic installations and I think we are the 'fastest' in the country :)
if you run into problems , text your grands!!
