I finished sewing the ZAP top together last night. I'll look for light print strips that might become the 2" border all around. I haven't decided if it will be several fabrics or just one fabric. Meanwhile I'll take it off the design wall and work on the pink baby quilt.
It's also time to spend about 4 hours cleaning up the mess from cutting for 3 quilts.
Love the ZAP. Know what you mean about cleaning up after a series of projects. The decisions where to put stuff is wearying. I am half cleaned up. Maybe yours will go quickly and maybe you will find some new inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this top, including the name!
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine the joy of working with such pretty fabrics. Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteThe ZAP top turned out so good! A light border with darker binding would look good.
ReplyDeleteWow! The change in orientation makes SUCH a difference. ZAP indeed!
ReplyDeleteZap turned out fabulously!! Great name for an electric/kf quilt

Just a fun quilt! And the name is perfect.
ReplyDeleteLoving the fabrics and final design - must be a joy cutting up such gorgeous fabrics and sewing them back together. Another lovely day here today; back door open letting in some fresh air. Getting my 2nd jab on Saturday :)
ReplyDeleteNice! I see the blocks you were thinking about replacing a few days ago play much nicer with different neighboring blocks.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!! But then I think all of your projects are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous!

ReplyDeleteWanda , I love how you worked with your triangles and created "ZAP". Watching the daily progress that lead up to "ZAP" and listening to all those comments about the first layout. I learned the commenters are not bashful about giving you their opinions on your pieces.
All in all "ZAP" is sensational.
