A little sunshine at my sewing machine..........

I got 24 pairs of sunny strips sewn together while watching evening TV.

Next step: cutting those in half and sewing the 2 pieces together.  My tutorial as a PDF is on my website under Free Resources.

A company that my son does business with gives him a box of candy each year.  I ended up with it last year and this year.  There is a little guide inside to show what the individual selections are so I can find my favorites first.  My most favorite is milk chocolate vanilla buttercreams.

  1. I just reread your tutorial on 16 patch block. I'm late to quilting and there are so many things I want to try. I know it's not a difficult block but I've just not got around to doing it. The white chocolate on the package caught my eye as I'm a big fan. Have a happy sewing day - we are expecting a National lockdown to start soon which may last until Easter!!! :(

  3. Those strips will certainly warm up the sewing room, even as the temps outside are cool. 21°F outside this morning, all the way down here!!! Brrrrr in any language. I remember the Fannie May candy just as well as the Sees from the west coast. I wonder what the East Coast equivalent is?

  4. The colors are just what I need today to combat the grayness of yesterday and today. Beautiful batiks. Hope you got your battery fixed.

  7. Gorgeous sunny strips - especially for your snowy area. I prefer dark chocolate to milk but I'm with you on the vanilla buttercream.

  9. Hi Wanda. I'm doing IG for my quilt guild, the Star Quilters Guild in Roanoke, VA. I decided recently to start highlighting IG quilters on our guild's Facebook page every Monday. This week I chose you! You have so much to offer quilters and you so generously share your information with others. So thank you for all that you do. I enjoy reading your blog and seeing all your beautiful and colorful work!
