I spent over 5 hours on a computer project yesterday so I never made it to the sewing machine. When my studio was getting dark I looked up and saw the most beautiful sunset. By the time I found my phone (I forgot it was being charged) it was pretty much gone. It was so intense red and blue and the camera didn't come close to capturing the beauty.
We have had some gorgeous skies here, too...aren't the colors inspiring? Such a beautiful one you've shared--thanks hugs with my Winter coat on--it's cold out there Julierose :()
Isn't it amazing when you see the sky drenched in color like that? It is so difficult to capture those colors on a phone camera. I found that my little digital camera does a pretty good job. It has a setting for sunsets and sunrises.
I've posted several sunset shots on my blog that I discovered like you. My back windows face the west and usually I'm on the computer (on the couch) and look up and WOW!! I jump up, grab the phone and run out to grab some shots because it disappears in a hurry!
Well even so, it is still beautiful. I love sunrises (few in the summer because zzzzz!)and winter I get to see them while having my breakfast. Evenings I'm usually up late and get to see some cracking ones. As you say, by the time you run for the camera they've changed again. But at least you were able to see it at the perfect moment - it is very peaceful just gazing too. Thank you for sharing the piccy. xx

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset. We had freezing rain and dark. Hope the 5 hours of computer time was worth it.
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset! I have found if I tilt my phone down just a little the colors are more intense than if I point directly toward the sky.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo in spite of your complications in capturing it.

Sunrises and sunsets are so much better in person - cameras never seem to do them justice.

ReplyDeleteThey sunrises and sunsets go so quickly. It does look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt is still pretty. We've had some really pretty ones, too. Compensation for being stuck at home so much?
