I decided to do the 7 x 10 layout which will make the quilt 56" x 80". I could put a narrow border on the 2 sides and make it a little wider or an inserted strip before the 2 edge rows on the sides. So much fun figuring it all out. In the basement I finally cleared off the table where I cut batting and put the roll up on the table ready to measure and cut. Now maybe I can get something finished.
I've had so much fun catching up with your posts tonight! I love seeing all the memories you brought out for Christmas, makes it so much more special, and it's good to be reminded of the many people who love you. The Kaffe quilt is looking marvelous!
So pretty--love the pops of yellow/cream colors in there...

ReplyDeleteOh! I like the idea of an inserted strip before the outside columns, Wanda. I'm going to have to remember that trick!
ReplyDeleteI find working on a 16-patch always to be a pallet cleanser. And these fabrics are just right.
