I knew there was snow in the forecast but didn't think it looked like we would get it....but we did. It didn't stick around for long but it sure looks like an early winter again.
I wanted to play with my 1.5" batik squares that I cut from scraps. I didn't know if there would be enough variety to do a colorwash that will finish at 12" square. Today I will take out the pieces that aren't working well and cut some new ones to fill in.
Those viburnum colors would be so pretty in a quilt...
ReplyDeleteA 12" square colorwash, must be hard to do...such a small area!! Hugs, Julierose
That mini is so cute <3 Short comment today :)
ReplyDeleteSnow?! Not already! Yikes! Not cold enough here for snow yet. I did turn the heat on twice so far this season just to take the chill off the house. I prefer the cold. I do have a space heater in the studio which is in the lower level and I have turned it on a couple times as it can get chilly with the cold radiating from the concrete floor. Is that the smallest colorwash you have done? It is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI was amazed that it got down to 38 here last night - the weatherman had not predicted that. Snow always looks pretty but a little early! Love the small colorwash
ReplyDeleteSewing 1 1/2" squares? Wow, you are a special person. Looks great, but boy, is that tiny! No snow here yet, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteYou have such patience and such a creative sense of color and pattern. You're an inspiration sweet girl :)
ReplyDeleteI am not at all ready for snow yet! Glad it was only a dusting.
ReplyDelete24 hours can make SUCH a difference. And wow, what a difference between 2.5" squares and 1.5" ones (although I'm used to that comparison with 2.5" strips and the 1.5" ones I use in my dumpster diving quilts - it's always surprising though when they're side by side).
ReplyDeleteIt’s way too early for snow! Two years in a row!
