A BIG block...........

The pieces for the 18" block are huge!
I laid the sewn pieces on top of the 2 choices I had for the center square.  I have many more choices I can try too.
Here is choice #2.  I have a huge pile of 6.5" squares that I could try but I think I'll use one of these 2.

Just a reminder and link for the occasional readers of my blog: my pop-up shop is open for a week, click here.  Several people have mentioned to me that they just read my blog once a week so I don't want them to miss out.

  1. The block looks so different big. I like No. 1, but I am also going by the photo, not real colors.

  2. I like the green better for the center, the brown reminds me of mushrooms. Love big blocks!!!

  3. I like the first center better, the green flowers. The brown lichens don't add much pop.

  5. Between these two choices I prefer the flowers over the fungi.

  6. I like the fungi in the center...this block is enormous!! Nice that you get to see those beautiful fabrics whole...
Have a super weekend, stay safe...we are expecting Tropical Storm winds today and some rain...(I would say to make my flowers grow--but nope, all gone!!;000) Julierose

  8. Looked at your pop-up shop and the two things I wanted (low-volume pack and M. Derse scrap pack) we’re gone in the first 15 minutes!! Oh well for me and good for you! If you ever have more of those put me on the list 😄 Your big blocks look great! (Like the flower middle). Vicky F

  12. I've never been a huge fan of churn dash blocks, but I'm loving yours in these KFC fabrics. The great big one is really fun!

Green is my favorite color, so I'll always go with that if it's a choice. I think the green makes this block really sing... it really pops against the red.

    It's all gorgeous!
