Taking a break for sorting and organizing I sewed 80 pairs of Kaffe 2" strips together. The ones on the left are waiting to be pressed. I hope my idea works out that I have planned for these.
The palest pink peonies are blooming now so I cut three of them for my windowsill bouquet. I need to go out tomorrow and cut a new bouquet for my large vase.
Those strips look interesting...I love to iron so having to iron that many strips wouldn't bother me...I used to iron all my father's white work shirts for him. I really do need a new and sturdy ironing board though; mine has seen better days... More luscious peony blooms...I can just imagine the sweet scent... Hugs from afar Julierose
Good Morning! Can't wait to see the Kaffe unfold. Peonies were always a favorite as I helped my mama tend hers growing up. I remember at about 4 or 5 helping her dig up the enormous clumps that went all the way around the curve of our huge southern style porch. Deep pinks and burgundy. So wish I had a color picture. I guess it's in my head :) The clumps were nearly as tall as I was, and I would help hold them while she tied them up. Thanks for sharing those, beautiful :) I so enjoy a virtual trip while having my morning cuppa.
I enjoy looking at your peonies. I left mine in Michigan when we moved to Florida. They are such a showy, fragrent flower. Attractive to ants though. Enjoy their beauty as I enjoy your photos. Thank you.
Love Peonies, Lucky you can grow them. One day we will be somewhere were they can grow easily. Deer ate all my green pea plants this year. First time in 5 years. so sad. Thanks for sharing, love the color of your quilts and the designs. You inspire me. Clearing out my studio, to consider and working with scraps. I packed my Jewelry making area yesterday. I was in a gallery and that closed for good. And now have plenty of Jewelry that I want to sell. Learning more about the on line, and one of these days. In the mean time "learning" is the Now. Keep on sharing. Thank you. Vivian
I so love peonies but our soil and climate doesn't work well with those plants. Then I see so many of your garden is in pots, I know you've shown them to us in past but it didn't hit me to try the same thing, duh, so now I'm going to try my favorite nothern spring plants in pots here in hot muggy coastal Florida. Spring is the one season I miss from the northern states. Thanks also for your last embroidery--Hope-- I'll hang it by the pots of flowers I hope to grow. Quilty Hugs to you for all the best
