I finally found time to make a collage of the finishes for October. The cool colors colorwash is 26" x 31.5" and includes batiks, Kaffe, African, and other printed quilting cottons.
The pink and green 16 patch baby quilt measures around 35" after washing. The larger pink and green 16 patch quilt was 47" x 62.5" before washing. I haven't measured it since but since I did loops as the quilting design I'm sure it shrunk a little in crinkling up.
I finished one quilt top which measures 28" x 34". My daughter has already claimed it as hers. I really like working with the African fabrics in a colorwash. It is more of a riot of patterns and shapes mixed into the blending of values and colors.
All great finishes, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Wanda. This quilt is at the top of my favorite's list, compiled since I have been following your blog. I think Vicki has made a very wise choice in claiming this one for herself. She is, after all, her mother's daughter in the talent department.
ReplyDeleteI can see why Vicki claimed the African colorwash - it's stunning. And your pink and green quilts turned out great.
ReplyDeleteThe African colorwash is my favourite - it would go very well with my Zebra print :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous
ReplyDeleteDo you suppose Vicki would leave me that African colorwash in her will. LOL. Just wishful thinking. I love it too!
ReplyDeleteI think the African fabrics colorwash is my favorite one you've done so far. I love that it's not so "sweet" (? not sure that's the right word)
