I'm about 2/3 done with the quilting on the X and + quilt. I should finish in a couple days.
When I was filling the bird feeders I saw a stem half broken off of one of my Brown Eyed Susan plants so I broke it off the rest of the way and brought it in the house. I never think about picking a bouquet of these and there are certainly enough that I could and it wouldn't look like anything is missing on the plants.
That is a fun backing on the x and + quilt.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers look like a great way to bring a spot of sunshine in the house.
ReplyDeleteNice progress on quilting, Wanda; love that X and + quilt--I may have to give it a try...that would be a piecing challenge for me for sure...
ReplyDeletePretty flowers--so cheery hugs, Julierose
We picked up end-of-the-season brown/black eyed Susan plants last fall for autumn color. Lo and behold they over-wintered and are THRIVING this summer. They're in large pots outside our sunroom and are so happy and cheerful. I haven't picked any of ours this year but I used to love to pick them as a child.
ReplyDeleteI'd say you're off too a good start for the week. Knowing you, you'll be hopping from one machine to the next besides working on your
ReplyDeleteX & + . I had to go back and look to see the backing, I didn't realize it was in the photo till patty a mentioned it. And I agree it is a very pretty backing.
And so is your Brown eye Susan bouquet.

The quilt is looking terrific and it will be done soon. I am ripping apart my gardens this past week because some things, like the Alberta spruces, got fat and crowded everything.
