It was so good to see my art quilter friends again yesterday. We had cancelled 3 times this year already because of weather. I didn't have a lot of energy left last night but I did sew 10 more OBW blocks, 8 shown here.
The second offering of my online Colorwash360 class will be open for enrollment next week. If you haven't previously signed up on my mailing list and would like info on the class go HERE to sign up.
I am glad you had a good time with your art quilter friends. You all must have had a lot to catch up on since you have gotten to meet so infrequently this winter. Those red block are fabulous! You are certainly into sewing with red this year so far. Red makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteI am really into this fabric, it’s just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your Art Quilters left with smiles after spending a day with in your studio. And yet you had engery to work on more OBW blocks . Each block makes its owm kaleidoscope like design. That's the biggest reason I love these blocks so much.

Love your OBW blocks. I have shelved my current project because my granddaughter is home for spring break this week. That quilt is going to be a graduation gift, so it needs to be done by May. So yesterday I pulled out my OBW blocks. I haven't touched this project since we moved to Alabama almost 6 years ago. I have the blocks on the wall and spent a lot of time rearranging the blocks. I think this is one of those projects that will need to be on the wall a long time to finally get something that I am happy with. I hope that actually happens:) Beside the print fabric that I used, I also made hollow boxes in both gold and green. I think I like the idea of something extending into the border. We shall see:)
