I wanted to play with rectangles in my next colorwash. I have a little work to do in the pink area and then it will be time to sew.
Coming soon! I have buds on 7 of the cacti. This one is old faithful that usually blooms 3 to 5 times every year. It has a lot more buds this year than usual so maybe it is planning to only bloom once this year.
I had one of my christmas cactus die this summer and the other is doing well and has blossoms for the first time since I bought it four years ago when it was covered in blooms. Now it is covered with blooms and had been totally neglected by my daughter when she was in charge of the house while we were traveling - I wonder why LOL - but I will enjoy it for sure
Hm, I still haven't started my colorwash but I've got to get on it if I want to enter it in the State Fair this year. These rectangles might make the process go faster ~
Your color-wash quilts are always so beautiful. I wish you lived closer, I would love to just glean from your quilting knowledge and experience. Happy Quilting! Connie :)
No matter what shape or size your pieces are, your magic with color washes are always perfection ! I have never seen anyone else's color wash that compares to yours !
My first cactus blossom has now withered away, but with several buds on their way to blossom out, on one plant. Because you featured your Christmas cactus blossoms so often, you enfluenced me to buy a plant a year ago. Now I'm enjoying their beauty too.
I only have three cactus and two are heavy with buds and the third has some. I thought it was too early but I guess not.
ReplyDeleteThat colorwash piece is going to be a beauty! There are a lot of buds on that plant! It will be so fun to see it blooming!
