Neighborhood color......

The tree across the street has lost about half of its leaves but they have finally all turned color.

Looking north is that pretty tree and 2 burning bushes.

My burning bush is finally red.

It is dropping leaves pretty fast so it won't last long.

This is my Maple tree that turns all yellow.  The Redbud leaves will be all down in a few days and I'll be able to see it better.

I took the last surviving pot inside on the coldest nights so I could get a few more weeks out of it.

Winter will be here soon.  Days are shorter which has made my Christmas cacti set some buds for blooms soon.

I bought a new winter coat so I'm ready for it.

  2. The colors are spectacular. I will have to get a picture of the trees in my backyard. There is gold, yellow, and red. You are right - it won't last long.

  3. love the burning bush - most of my colorful trees are not real close to the house since we had the big tree by the porch cut down last fall. Our biggest hardwood near the house turns yellow but is first getting starting now so it will be really pretty in another week if the rain doesn't knock all the leaves off of it too quickly

  5. November 2 and you still have your glorious autumn trees. Our lawn is still nice still green, but not a leaf on the maple and oak trees. But we are surrounded with 99% ponderosa pine in our yard. My million bell petunia's are still in full bloom in my window box two pots close to the house. And we're getting lots of snow build up in the mountains. And we woke up to 55 degrees. Go figure ?

  6. We're looking lots like you... in the neighborhood too. While the trees are dressed for fall, the sky is thinking more like summer. Thunderstorms and a small tornado... in the area Wednesday and a warning for more this week, and a possibility for snow flakes later in the week... The storm on Wednesday had some strong winds, so the trees lost about 1/2 of their leaves!!!

  7. Our neighborhood is not so colorful. Mostly yellows and still on the trees. Very slow this autumn. Have lost most of the outside
Plants. I like your last plant. Very colorful. I don’t have a lot of space to bring inside but I am also lazy about it and usually I forget about it.

  8. Is that a pool table I see under the first cutting table? I love all of the color in this post. The burning bush is one of my all time favorites but the deer also love it. Mine has been nibbled to the roots.

  9. The leaves are changing in my neighborhood too, but my camera battery cover is broken so I can't take pictures without lugging the big camera out. How nice that you have two great colors in your very own yard!
