6 blocks...........

I made 2 more blocks and rearranged them many times before I was happy with the layout.

Here is the edge to edge layout.  They will finish at 10" each so this is only 20" x 30" with this layout.

When I got home from the Thanksgiving trip my pink Christmas Cactus was really blooming.  There are at least 20 more buds so I should have pretty pink for awhile.

  1. Those blocks are so cool! I would think if you added sashing with cornerstones(maybe) and a wider border, you could easily make these into a baby quilt. So what is your plan for these?

The pink blossoms are so pretty!

  2. love your pink blossoms - I bought a new Christmas Cactus yesterday that has pink buds on it but the leaves are covered in white watermarks any idea how to remove the marks without damaging the blossoms? They were all like that but I really wanted one so figured I could get the marks out eventually.
    Love the quilt blocks

  4. My one cactus had several branches that fell off. I put them in water and so far, no roots. My other ones are blooming. I have a white one which has buds, my first white. I hope one is red.

  5. I never critique .... But today I'd like to see a space between each block. Each block is sensational and I love the separation between each block. Can't see that when they are all tight together. But what do I know (*._.*)

  6. Crazy wild, Wanda, but I love it, although it may be a little too wild for a baby quilt, especially if it's a newborn. Your cactus is so pretty in pink, and I know you have quite a few of them, so we can enjoy your pictures of beautiful blooms all winter. Stay warm.

  7. Wow! Another beautiful cactus full of blooms. Just gorgeous. And how pretty your crumb blocks are. I love how you "gather up the fragments" and put them to good use!

  8. I just sewed some crazy blocks like that, I get so far, and then don't know where to go with them, all different angles, maybe when big enough I will pin to a 10" paper block to finish off,,, these are not as easy as they "seem."
