Block number 2 is sewn for the Marcia Derse star quilt. I have cut some more fabrics for variety for the next blocks.
Here are blocks 1 and 2 together. There will be some blocks with dark fabrics at the edges too.
The purple Million Bells in this pot are having one more big burst of color. They are even deeper purple than they look here. I love the purple next to the lime green Coleus.
The Derse fabric certainly adds a whole new look to this block design.
ReplyDeleteI like the mix of fabric designs in each block - the lines mixed with the circular. It gives the blocks a liveliness.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - both the blocks and the flowers.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Wanda.....Love both these blocks, especially the 2nd. one, because the lighter background really makes it pop. The only thing growing, since we dumped all the flowers, are 2 tomato plants and some green peppers, but the tomato plant foliage looks pitiful, especially after the 40+ temperatures hit them a couple of nights ago. I will keep them as long as they keep giving us good tasting fruits.
ReplyDeleteKnowing you are getting ready to 'kick off' your first session for your Colorwash 360 course, and you take the time to design another beautiful block to show us.
