I had quite an assortment of items cluttering the top of my sewing cabinet. One little pile of preemie gowns were waiting for their neckbands. The ladies at church made the gowns and I am the only one who will attempt to sew on the ribbing. Pattern is on this post. Click photo to enlarge it.
I had previously made several little quilt tops and pieced backs so I got one of them quilted and serged the edge last night.
Someone just gave me a bag of vintage Carter knits knowing my grandson will be born this month. I used to sew sleepers when my kids were babies, but that is 32 years ago and I have no idea where to find a pattern! The gowns look great.
All that you accomplish still amazes me. Sweet gowns and quilt. They’ll be well appreciated I’m sure.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to get those little jobs done!

ReplyDeleteThey are so small, but I'm sure they are SO appreciated! So good of you ladies to do that.
ReplyDeleteWanda, is there any closure on the preemie gowns? Checked the pattern, and didn't see any, but curious enough to ask. Thank you.
