The Kaffe collective 16 patch quilt top is 60" x 80". The plaid half hexagon top is 73" x 93" and is partly laying on the floor in this photo. The Stone Log Cabin is 76.5" x 89".
I designed and sewed another 34" colorwash wallhanging top also.
It was a busy month preparing for my trunk show and workshop in addition to having house guests for 3 days. I really need to move all of the "stuff" off my longarm table now and get something quilted. I have one I want to hand baste and quilt on my straight stitch machine too.
I really should think about what I am going to plant in my porch pots and the pots that sit by my garage doors. I usually fill at least 15 pots because I continue to buy plants as they go on sale but this year I think I should cut back and just do about 8. I have all of that fresh dirt along the driveway where my bushes used to be to plant in this year too.
Such beautiful tops! The colors and designs are so varied and interesting. I have plenty of empty pots and a backyard to put back together after being destroyed building my husband's garage addition.
ReplyDeleteWow, such beautiful quilts and that color wash just blows me away. We planted a few bulbs yesterday for lilies and maybe will plant some others. I usually go with our rule of nothing planted outside till Mothers Day.
ReplyDeletelove your quilt tops and yes you could have a pretty flower bed in your new area
ReplyDeleteYou did good! I haven't even had time to keep track of what I accomplished. I will have to put that on the to-do list to update my sewing accomplishment list! LOL!!! Too many lists!!
ReplyDeleteWanda, your April finishes are stunning!
ReplyDeleteWanda, when you referred to using your "straight stitch" machine for basting and sewing, I was wondering what machine you have. I'm wondering because I've had my eye on a Baby Lock Jazz for a while. I was looking at the price on the one for sale at my local dealer....but have found it online brand new for 1/2 the price my dealer is asking.

Three beautiful quilt tops, I guess they're going to have to wait their turn for quilting!
ReplyDeleteDo you have thoughts on what you might be planting in place of your bushes?
I look forward to your blog every day. Your energy continues to amaze me, and I say a "Bless you" almost each time I finish reading.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say Thank you for sharing your life.
