The next batch of blocks are ready to play with on the design wall. I started moving blocks around but haven't made a final decision yet.
Here are the other three. After I get them all up on the design wall I will decide if any are going to be removed and then make replacements for them.
Today my friend is coming over and we are starting our Kaffe Fassett quilts that I showed here. I spent some time last night pressing out fold lines on the first 5 fabrics that we will need to cut.
I love the busyness of that block with the turquoise blobs! Have fun today with your friend.
ReplyDeleteWanda -- question about your design walls in your basement. I am in the process of moving to a home where I'll be able to have all of my quilting -- sewing machines and longarm, together in the basement. The basement is huge but is not finished. It seems to me, in pictures that you've uploaded, most of your design walls in the basement are movable. I'm trying to figure out how to configure a couple design walls when I can't, nor do I want to, attach them to cement walls. Any suggestions would be most welcome! ~Mindy

I love that Kaffe design - tried making it once but stopped several rounds in and let it turn into a small quilt for a wheelchair patient (Nancy Near Philadelphia gets credit for the final finish). Looking forward to watching your version come to life.
