Yesterday morning I pieced all of the remaining pieces for this quilt. The bottom 2 rows are still just pieces on the wall, not sewn together. I tried switching the black and whites in the bottom 2 rows but I really like the dark at the bottom to balance dark at the top. Maybe I'll get it sewn today.
Last night while I watched 3 shows on TV I played with fabric. I pulled 18 more pieces to cut into 2.5" squares for my ongoing cutting project.
When I finished that I tidied up the box that contains the last 5 years of Kaffe fabric. I got them all in numerical order which makes me very happy. (The numbers are on the selvage)
That quilt is sharp! I can see a lot of color possibilities with this design.
ReplyDeleteOK, you win the outstanding organization award!
ReplyDeleteThat is another beauty, Wanda.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how big your black 'n white really is, seeing it on your design wall really shows it off. Always fun to see your fabrics, helps my cravings to go out and buy some, because I know I could never find the beauties you have. You are a meticulous organizer and always have been.

I just love the colour in this one Wanda, beautiful. Yummy box of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteStunning and inspirational quilt. My group has set a challenge for everyone to make a jelly roll or strip quilt so I am inspired to make an interweave one after seeing your superb result. Hope you are keeping well.
