Red, again.............

Here is the newest batch of little pieces trimmed off as I create the crazy pieced blocks.

I sort them into groups of matching sizes.

Here are some centers pieced.

I continue to add to them, working on all six blocks at the same time.

They are waiting to be pressed and trimmed but meanwhile I need to make 2 more blocks.  I have started them and will work on them today.  Then I have to concentrate on finishing something before the end of the year.

We got a little snow yesterday and it sounds like more coming today.  It is still cold with another arctic blast headed our way.

  3. love all the reds but I know I would get tired of working only one color too. We have the artic blast of cold heading out way this weekend too - today is our last "nice" day for about 5 I guess and by nice it will get to the 40's then it won't be above freezing for awhile.

  4. I always find it interesting that you are so organized - even in the making of crazy blocks. My crazy block creative process is much less organized - perhaps that is why I take longer to finish.

  5. It’s wonderful that you have so much space to work on your fabulous quilts. You are efficient in keeping everything neat and organized. We all reap the benefits of your work.

  6. Being able to focus in on one particular color makes things less chaotic. It becomes all about shape and relationship instead of what goes with what ( which can take forever to decide upon). I love watching when you work this way.

  7. I am so enjoying seeing your red crazy blocks come together, and the frost patterns on your window are gorgeous. It's cold, here, too, and more headed our way.

  8. Fun to watch your method of building your pieced blocks. Knowing you, you will finish the year with another grand quilt.

We've had a chinook today with rain and melted away 14" of snow. (*._.*). A high of 41 last night at 8:30, (Thursday) high of 38 today with that rain. Crazy winter weather .... by Sunday we are to get hit with cooler temps.
