Sewing triangles...........
I had enough triangle squares sewn to lay out one more block. I have one turned the wrong way in the bottom row. The box only contains light triangles so I spent some time cutting medium and dark triangles.
I sewed enough squares for four more blocks with a few left over.
I took photos yesterday afternoon to compare with 8 days ago. I didn't have time to make them into four 2 photo collages so I'll show you one today so you can see how pink the backyard is. I'll do the collages for tomorrow.
Here is a question for people who live in or near NC. My son in law sent this photo of a bush that grows near streams and he asked if I knew what it is. I have never seen it before. Can anyone identify it for us?

The white flowers may be mountain dog hobble. I googled " white bell shaped flower living near streams" and the pictures look identical.

I don't know what the plant is but I have found on facebook a group for Arkansas called Arkansas Nature Identifier - maybe there is a similar group for North Carolina? They helped me identify a tree growing on my property.
I believe the bush is Pieris japonica. I bought a couple of little ones once in the hope of growing them in my front yard, but no luck. Those little flowers are so charming.

Beautiful blocks and I love the pictures of your garden. The flower looks like the Andromeda flowering shrub. (https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/japanese-andromeda/grow-japanese-andromeda.htm ) We also have these on the East coast.
It's Pieris.....difficult to grow in the garden as they do like constant moisture.
The flowers look like the andromeda shrubs we have in Oregon.
Love your blocks, Wanda! That shrub is definitely a Mountain Doghobble. The Latin name is Leucothoe. (Or something like that) It grows in North Carolina and is called a doghobble because it grows so densely that dogs have to hobble to get through it. I believe it is also poisonous.
I like that block with the four white squares at the inner corners. It is nice to see all the pink and white blossoms popping out everywhere. It was way to hot yesterday for spring - almost 80 - but today it is much cooler and that makes me happy. Have a great weekend!
