I mailed the crooked cobblestone quilt so it was time to clean up the rest of the blocks. The sizes had gotten all mixed up so I sorted them by size up on the design walls. I might make a few more to add to these so that I have a good variety.
We had a rainy morning yesterday. This is the view from my dining room window while it was still sprinkling.
The Cannas have started growing. The leaves were broken off all of the rest plus one in the photo. I haven't seen a raccoon lately but they are big and would break off the leaves by walking over them.
I have 6 tomatoes on this Early Girl plant and these are the 2 largest. I also have some on the Grape Tomato plant.
Wanda's quilt and garden report--everything looking good! No blooms on our tomatoes yet but they are growing. I sure liked your blue quilt from yesterday--fun to enlarge and see more detail too.
ReplyDeleteLove the sorting. I just saw Hancock's of Paducah has 2 1/2" strips of all light color batiks (neutrals) on sale today. The reason I mention this is I wonder how strips of neutral batiks would look sewn in between the long way your blocks as they are on the wall. You probably have enough neutrals to do this, the ad just gave me the idea. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful assortment of left over blocks!
ReplyDelete:) the quilt blocks look so pretty just lined up on the wall - so colorful
ReplyDeleteI have got to get my canna planted this weekend. Remember last year they only got as far as a bucket outside? LOL!! I don't know if they will even grow after the abuse I have given them! We have a chance of rain tonight so I am going to try to get them in the ground tonight.
ReplyDeleteMore lovely cobblestone blocks, looks as if there will be enough for a good size quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour vegetation looks lush! The rain gets old, but the plants surely do love it.
