The quilt is quite special! But even more special, right now, is your meticulous blog record of your previous s/s quilts. I was able to trace those earlier pieces and ---in your November 4, 2011 entry I found a link to Lynn Tyler's Patchery Menagerie blog, where she presents a superb tutorial about that block's construction. Thanks to her for the generous lesson, and to you for your fine blog archives!!
Congratulations on another beautiful finish. I bet you had a wonderful time at the Chicago show. Big quilt shows are exhausting, but always filled with lots of inspiration.
After seeing your fabulous quilt I am now sure that I will select "Stack & Slash" as my project for my group's May retreat. I just hope it turns out half as good as your's. Thanks once again for all your inspiration in your posts. Jo x

ReplyDeleteThis is quite different fabric than what I am used to seeing on your blog but it is quite beautiful and exuberant too, in a more quiet way.
