A good day.........

I have removed the pieces of the half row at the top and the 6th row and sewed them together last night.  I have 5 rows sewn together and 3  full rows and one half width row left to do.

The end of the month is here so I quilted a baby quilt.  Go here if you want to see it when I finished sewing the top. I haven't trimmed it yet because the table I use is covered with my scrap sorting.  I have a huge blanket box of scraps and I'm trying to create some order with them.  My other 2 cutting tables are also piled with "stuff".  I'll have to clean one off today so I can count this in my finishes for the month.

  1. Your making nice progress on the hexie quilt. It will be nice to get another UFO done! I don't think I have done much in March except work on that Nocturne quilt.

  2. Beautiful hexagons! Know the stuff piled feeling. I cleaned my studio (old living room) for Easter since I hosted dinner and the stuff is starting to spill out again. Cutting 2 new projects, quilts with binding to be sewn, etc. I guess if there is no fabric stuff, there is nothing going on.

  3. I love that baby quilt. The nice large meander will make it soft and comfy.

  4. I was also thinking how nice the meander looked on your baby quilt. Love, love your hexie quilt; colors, fabrics, scale, design, everything!

  6. The baby log cabin is so sweet - just perfect. I enjoyed going back and seeing it again and all your play that day.

  8. The hexie quilt is only looking better as it gets sewn together!
I understand the issue of tables being covered, mine ALWAYS are, unfortunately not because I'm doing something, mike sorting scraps. I just have so much stuff to put away, and if there's room on a table, why do it now? A lot of stuff has never been put away since my car accident, and as I usually also fold laundry on my cutting table: it's just the right height, it's been very hard to cut anything lately.
What I hope to get done today, after taking all the recycling, is getting all the laundry folded and the rest of the stuff removed from my cutting table. My brother and his family have been visiting all week from Denmark, it was great fun but also contributed to me not getting anything done!
