Even though ideas for new quilts were floating through my head, I continue to work on some finishing. This is one of my favorite small quilts. A portion of it was the header on my blog for several years. I'm ready to baste today.
I chose a back for this quilt and cut the 2 lengths and also cut the batting. A full size photo of it is here. I will get this one loaded on the longarm today.

You seem to be moving right along. Glad you are getting some finishes done. I cut for over three hours yesterday and more to do today. Have a good one. Chris
Is there another picture of the top quilt somewhere on your blog or does it have a name? I love the use of the batiks. I can't figure out how the blocks are made and sewn together from this photo. I think it is such a wonderful quilt.
Love the strip one also.
love that star quilt
Your star quilt is a beauty Wanda, I can see why it's a favourite.
No wonder that star quilt is one of your favourites - it's beautiful.Love the backing you chose too.
Well you're certainly starting the year off well - I love your star quilt.
Good for you, Wanda! I am trying to make myself get into the sewing room and get one loaded on the quilt frame. Dragging my feet. As always, you inspire me!
That is so pretty. I love the colors in this one.
So lovely! Thanks. And a Happy New Year also!
I do remember now that last January, you also started our really strong finishing a really high number of quilts the first month. Are you trying to beat that number this year? It would be a lot easier to beat the count in one of the other months!
It would be really hard for me to have a bunch of tops which hadn't been quilted, but if I had to quilt them myself, I can't say that they wouldn't pile up like yours do. It's a lot easier to keep up when somebody else does the quilting. Starting a new quilt is definitely a lot more fun for me as well. I have so many ideas I'd like to try out. And so much fabric wanting to become quilts.
