My little great grandson was visiting yesterday morning. He lives 3 states away now so I don't get to see him very often.
When he left the boiler repairman came to change a part on my boiler. He left about 12:30. I worked on cleaning up the basement for the art quilters while he was here.
Later in the afternoon I mowed the lawn and I hope it is the last time of the season. We haven't had any rain for awhile and nights are quite cool so the grass isn't growing much.
Last night I played with the arrangement of these blocks. If you missed the beginning of this quilt here is the post about it. I haven't decided if I need to make any replacement blocks yet. I still need to make half blocks and quarter blocks to fill in the edges. The blocks are about 19.25" diagonally and the sashing will be 1" finished. This might end up about 63" x 82". Today is a family reunion, the first one with all of my dad's generation gone. His last cousin passed away about a month ago.
Fun to have Grandkids come to visit. They have so much energy. Your blocks really look good. I like the on point layout. Enjoy your visit with family. Chris
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy day and it began with a visit from a young man who looks to be constantly in motion!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Wanda.....Love all your colorful Kaffee blocks and am looking forward to the finished top. Looks as though you will have nice weather for your reunion and hope you enjoy seeing everyone. At our age, you never know when you will see them all together again, so our group of friends tries to get together for lunch every 2 months or so. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh, he has grown SO big! How fun that you had time with him.
ReplyDeleteWe are about done with grass cutting here, too - aside from cleaning leaves off the surface (easier to mow than rake).
the little one has grown so much and is a cutie. your quilt is looking great I'm sure you will decide arrangement quickly. sad that what was the older generation is gone. I only have an aunt left that I know of on my father's side of the family and then my generation are the "old" ones!
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteThose blocks look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHow nice it is to have the little ones come to visit. He is adorable and looks like he has lots of energy! ;-)
Ahhh....the last mowing. It must feel good.
Cute little fellow! The newest member of our family, my great nephew, lives in New York City, while all the rest of us are in Kentucky.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about seeing what's happening with those big blocks. I really like them!
Such a cutie pie, I know you really enjoyed having him.
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me with your energy!
I love the blocks you are making with the kf fabrics, I love KF fabrics, there is one that just speaks to me when I look at them, the first one on the second row from the top, don't know if it is the colors or what but it is singing to me for sure!
