Slowly........

I need to move these pieces to a design wall that has better lighting for photos.  I had a migraine part of the day yesterday so didn't do much.  The good news is that my migraines only last a few hours now compared to the 3 days when I was younger.  I pressed fabric and cut more pieces last night while I had 2 hours of TV entertainment.  I added 5 more of the darker octagons.  I am cutting these with a GO! die on my Studio cutter.

I added three more light octagons.  I need to put away a pile of fabric before I cut any more.  Today is the twice monthly sewing group so I will probably sew the cross seams in the flannel quilt while I'm there.

  1. Migraines- they just suck the life and energy... out of ya!!! It used to take me a day or two to get back into the rhythm of daily life. Go easy, cross seams are the perfect task.

  2. I know too much about migraines. They attack twice a week and the meds to break them make me feel beat up. Sewing is the only thing at times that keeps me going when I sm recovering so I save a lot of no brainer sewing for then. Lovely octagons.

  4. I have found that I only use my die cutter for "specialty shapes" - like the hexagon. If it is straight lines with right angles, I prefer to cut with a rotary cutter.

  5. It would be fun to see a picture sometime of your entire collection of Kaffe. I keep seeing new fabrics each time you post something using his fabrics.

  8. Love those octagons ! I had not checked in all week and was happy to see them. As always your fabrics are just gorgeous, and how you design with them.
