I need to move these pieces to a design wall that has better lighting for photos. I had a migraine part of the day yesterday so didn't do much. The good news is that my migraines only last a few hours now compared to the 3 days when I was younger. I pressed fabric and cut more pieces last night while I had 2 hours of TV entertainment. I added 5 more of the darker octagons. I am cutting these with a GO! die on my Studio cutter.
I added three more light octagons. I need to put away a pile of fabric before I cut any more. Today is the twice monthly sewing group so I will probably sew the cross seams in the flannel quilt while I'm there.
Migraines- they just suck the life and energy... out of ya!!! It used to take me a day or two to get back into the rhythm of daily life. Go easy, cross seams are the perfect task.
ReplyDeleteI know too much about migraines. They attack twice a week and the meds to break them make me feel beat up. Sewing is the only thing at times that keeps me going when I sm recovering so I save a lot of no brainer sewing for then. Lovely octagons.
ReplyDeleteI am glad your migraine went away. The fabrics are so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have found that I only use my die cutter for "specialty shapes" - like the hexagon. If it is straight lines with right angles, I prefer to cut with a rotary cutter.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to see a picture sometime of your entire collection of Kaffe. I keep seeing new fabrics each time you post something using his fabrics.

Those fabrics are luscious! I hope today is a pain free sewing day for you.
ReplyDeleteWondering how large these blocks are ? They look great. So glad your migraine is gone now
ReplyDeleteLove those octagons ! I had not checked in all week and was happy to see them. As always your fabrics are just gorgeous, and how you design with them.

The octagons are interesting and love the fabric, of course! I'm sorry to hear about your migraine and glad that it has gone away. I hope you enjoyed your group and are in the process of a stupendous Thursday now!
