I finished the quilting on the second spin wallhanging and got both of them trimmed. Now I'm looking for binding choices. The centers are a fabric with red metallic woven in one direction and green cotton in the other and they are fairly dark. I think the binding should be almost as dark as they are.
Here are 2 that I looked at last night next to the backing fabric. The one on the left picks up the color tone of the center circle fabric.
I finished sewing the seams on the stripe/Kaffe quilt top but it was too late to press it and photograph it.
Hi Wanda...After looking at the color choices you selected and the quilt top itself, for several minutes, my choice would be the one on the left. I just took another look, enlarged it and still picked the left one. I do like the one on the right, but don't care for the way it looks with the backing. Hope your weekend is a good one, although it looks as though we have more rain on the way.

I'm kind of liking the lower left fabric.
ReplyDeleteThe one on the left is perfect for that top. It even picks up the aqua in the backing.
ReplyDeleteEchoing what everyone has said so far, I also like the fabric on the lower left. These wall hangings are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI too like the paisley fabric for your binding ... But I know you will select the best one.

Ditto what everyone else said!
ReplyDeleteHey.. got a copy of Quilt Life in the mail today, and noticed your quilt "Exuberance" in it. congrats!!
ReplyDeleteAll your fabrics are beautiful. I look forward to seeing what you chose.
ReplyDeleteI take it you're looking for feedback, so I'll add mine as well. My choice would be the black fabric on the richt. I like the color of the one on the right, but think there's more going on in it than you need. The quilt is already so busy that a binding which is solid or reads as solid would in my opinion be the best choice.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I'm sure when I see whatever you choose - it'll not only work but be perfect, regardless of which you agree with me!
