Just playing......

I had some triangle squares leftover from a quilt I made a couple years ago and I needed some play time at the design wall.  I'm not going to sew this, just playing.  I wanted to see if it worked to make the zigs and zags different lengths and now I know it works.  I'm linking up with the HSTeria quilt-along (button on right side bar) so check out what everyone else is doing with their triangles.
I chose a backing fabric for my second Fractured quilt.  I wanted something neutral and not too dark so this works well.

I pulled lots of weeds yesterday in the front flower bed.  There is a long way to go but a little each day is my speed.

Happy Independence Day/4th of July to my U.S. friends!!!!!

  1. Looks like you are having fun with your HST's. Weeds will be there, but a few each time you go out they do get finished eventually only to start again. Chris

  4. I just love the different lengths of zigs and zags, it looks great. I am not keen on chevrons which have been so popular and I think this is because of their regularity. Long live irregularity!

  5. Lots of fun options! Weeding--yuck, I've got a flower bed awaiting some of that and some bushes needing trimming. Going to have to trim my morning sewing to get into that this coming week. Enjoy the holiday today!

  6. I live down near St. Louis in IL and was weeding several times this week, never ends. I use Preen and that usually helps a great deal. Love your triangle block arrangement, very colorful as usual. Spent the morning on the Internet looking at Kaffe Fassett fabric, you inspire me with your quilts using his bright fabric.
