Included in the variety of things I did yesterday was preparing this quilt for quilting. I got the backing and batting on the frame and laid the top on it. Then I wound the bobbin and chose the top thread. Today is my last chance to do it for an April finish so I hope I can get it done. I don't have a firm idea of how I want to quilt it yet so that is why I haven't started it.
I am always amazed at how much you get done! piecing, quilting, cutting kits, WOW! I am preparing pieces in my spare time (ha-ha) to make a streak of lightning quilt...your finish is so cool. I really like that black and white border fabric that you chose to frame it.
One day to go, we are the 1st May here. where did the beginning of the year go? that is stunning in design and colour, you will quilt it to perfection I'm sure. as always. Cheers, Jean.
Looking forward to see the finished quilt!
ReplyDeleteit will be fun to see how you decide to quilt it.

ReplyDeleteGood luck on another finish.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great loaded, can't imagine when it is done. Whatever design you pick, hope the lines will echo the energy in the piecing.
ReplyDeletePrep time is a good thing. I need to get more done on that issue today also. Anxious to see the end results on this quilt. Chris
