I made one block yesterday and laid out the orange one so I can sew it today. I'm still cutting on the pink one. I also sewed 5 strips on 24 more log cabin blocks.
I needed to go to the local drug store yesterday afternoon and knew the Christmas items would be on sale but didn't figure there would be any of this left. I lucked out and at 75% off.
This one is coming along beautifully. It is 3:30 on my coast. steroids for my cough sure inhibit my sleep! I am finishing the shop sample for the Exploring Color class today and then I will need a nap:) Have a great week!
I love that black block! Love all your blocks actually. This is going to be gorgeous. I actually bought a copy of that book because I might make this quilt!
This block has pizazz with the dashes of reds on the black. I can see that these really are fun blocks to work on. And only you can take this pattern and make it your own.
Better you went yesterday than today. Your progress puts me to shame. I have done hand work. Anxious to see this one all together. Chris STAY WARM

ReplyDeleteThose blocks must be getting to make a huge quilt! Each one is just as lovely as the other. I need to sit down and sew some blocks together today!
ReplyDeleteI might have to look for that candy - I get some coffee cream (powdered) that is a mint for Xmas and should look for that too
ReplyDeleteThe black with the hints of orange is wonderful. Almost makes me want to trade in the purple one for the black one!

ReplyDeleteYay for the sale price on something you like. I missed getting any of that this year, but I have sinned with the chocolate covered cherries.
