Binding, cookies, birds........

I followed my plan and finished the quilting and got the binding sewn on.  I am finishing it by hand so I just got started on that part.

I baked a batch of chocolate Spritz cookies.

The birds love the forsythia bush near my kitchen window.  It was another cold day yesterday but we are going to be above freezing for a couple days this week with rain predicted.  Right now the snow is up to the tops of my boots so the rain should settle it down some.

  1. Your binding looks great with the colors of the blocks. Warmer right now today then all day yesterday. Suppose to get a dusting today and fog. Yikes. Chris

  2. Do the birds talk in the bush or are they quiet? Cookies and the quilt look good!

  3. I have three quilts that need the binding. Should make a binding marathon out of it. There are two types of people, those who can get those cookie spritz makers to actually make beautiful cookies and those who never get anything to resemble one. Gave up years ago and gave it to Goodwill.

  4. I love your striped binding - always my favorite, and the quilt looks awesome. It's been years since I've made chocolate spritz - yours look delicious.

  5. You nailed it with the striped binding. Have fun with the hand sewing. The cookies look great. My husband made cookies for his cookie exchange yesterday and the house smelled wonderful.

  8. I dropped off a quilt at the quilt shop where one of the ladies does bindings. they are done by machine but they look really nice. i like the hand sewing but just have too much right now. like everyone else-love the stripe. Wish we could trade weather for a week-84 degrees and windy yesterday.

  11. I sure would like to wrap up in the quilt, eat some cookies and watch the birds! With a hot cup of tea it would be the perfect way to relax!

  12. We get groups of birds like that in our privet bush . . . they create a great noise when they all fly out at once!

Enjoy the quilt while you do your binding!
