Auditioning borders...........
I sewed the pieces together for this top yesterday and then it was time to audition side borders. I pulled the 2 fabrics that I thought I might like.
I decided to try two more and then thought maybe I need to do a pieced border from several of the light fabrics. I'll play with that idea today.
With all the texture you could take one of the choices per side. You would use them all. Just another option. Chris
ReplyDeleteI think that Sewing Junction has a great idea... it was my first thought too!!!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the pieced border, it gives sparkle to the bright colors and keeps the eye moving.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out great! You could have been an elf-I am sure you stay up till the wee hours to get all of this done:)
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the option of using two or more - it looks great
ReplyDeletePiece the border using the four different fabrics but join them with the same angle that the blocks have.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteI think the pieced border is definitely the way to go.
ReplyDeleteI agree - the bordering is the trickiest part of this quilt! I'm about to start on my second one and I'm pretty sure I'll have to ponder when I get to this stage (again!).
ReplyDeleteLove how your top is turning out!!
I like Linda's suggestion!
