I kept noticing how beautiful the asters are while I was mowing and knew I had to share them with you. These are all volunteers. I didn't plant them where they are located.
so beautiful and large, I never get them to grow so well here. Whenever we go to the northern states I am forever commenting to Mike that I love the flowers - everything seems to grow so much better in the northern climate as far as flowers and vegetable gardens - it must be the cooler nights - here yes we have the warmth but it stays hot at night for most of the summer and we do not get enough rain and forever have to water our gardens.
Beautiful. The colors are so vivid or should I say Exuberant? They found the right yard to grow in. Enjoy the day as it is going to be another beautiful one.
Just beautiful, Wanda ! I look forward to seeing your Asters every year. I don't have the pink......only the purple, but I keep hoping they'll spread "volunteers", too. I do break off the stems and put them in the ground where I want new ones to start. That works for me sometimes !
This gives me hope as I have two purchased aster plants. I hope mine decide to multiply, too. Lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteThose are some amazing volunteers. They look lovely.

ReplyDeleteI love asters, but the rabbits eat them as fast as I can plant them!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are gorgeous, saturated colours! We have some wild asters too, but they are quite pale. Still pretty, though!

ReplyDeleteThey are very pretty and in your bright colors also.
ReplyDeleteWow - they are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! I wish we could grow them here. Alas.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I had one come up that I did not plant. It only had one or two blooms!
ReplyDeleteThose look like Kaffe colors to me! :) Is there a future quilt lurking in your yard, Wanda?
