It was errand day, cleaning day, all of the things that take away from studio play. I chose 4 new pairs of strips for the pastel 16 patch but didn't get any sewing done. I'm trying to get to the bottom of the piles on my cutting table in the main floor studio. I haven't seen the table top for many moons.
My theory is that table tops are designed to hold things so you are just letting it fulfill its purpose in life. (But sometimes it is nice to know what those things are...)
I can just see those pastel fabrics joining the rest of your blocks. I love pastels and this quilt top is going to be another spectacular piece. And my gosh...taking time to keep up with errands and such I do that more than sew. You are the champion when it comes to sewing every day. You need a day off now and then.
I'm always amazed how quickly my work area accumulates messy piles. Sometimes we have no choice but to stop and clean up...not my favorite part of the process.
Isn't it amazing how those tabletops hide from us.
ReplyDeleteYeah, mine is down there some where too.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty pastels. Yes I agree table tops are to hold things. And I go right ahead and let it do its job.

ReplyDeleteBuried tabletop is just a normal part of my room. Currently the floor is buried too!
ReplyDeleteIs there supposed to be a table top underneath all my fabric? Who knew?
